STAR-578: Moss "Unagi"

Owned by VinR

'Moss' is used by the Starlyng, while 'Unagi' is used by the Earthlyng.

Moss's personality is hidden underneath all the loathing and jealousy she feels towards other Starlyngs, though once it shines through, it's rather bright. She's chaotic at best in both the Prime Starlyng Universe and the Earthlyng Universe. However, there are some noticeable differences between the two; Unagi is much more creative and open to others, while Moss is closed off and flat-out refuses to accept others into her life. Stingy and always scowling when she has the chance, Moss can come off as rude and unwelcoming. Unagi on the other hand has an affinity for quiet people and places, so if you don't bother her, she will not bother you.

Both struggle to understand those around her as being sociable isn't something she's very well adapted to. With her little experience in friendship, she might cross boundaries or lack comprehension on an emotional level. There are times when she uses the wrong emotion or pushes too hard on accident. Despite all of their problems, there's a want to be good in their heart. Both are willing to learn and change themselves, especially for good.

History

Abandoned by those who she thought were her family, Moss was left on a desert planet with no hopes of leaving. This was because, for some unexplainable reason, Moss could not fly. Traveling the stars was a mere passing dream amongst the lonely nights, which would soon manifest into something much darker. Unable to explore or really... live, Moss grew up feeling bitter toward her kin. Her time on the planet was spent gathering worthless trinkets to fill the empty hole in her heart, and stashing them away in the cave she saw as her home. Even Moss is unsure of just how many years had passed since she was trapped in the desert, fending for her life and living off of what she could scavenge. After a horrible storm, the entrance to the cave Moss lived in was blocked, causing her to become trapped within. She spent days attempting to dig herself out, and it wasn't until after the hopelessness began settling in did Moss began traveling deeper into the cave.

After days of exploring, Moss came across a magical lake she could not pass through. It was here that Moss met Kelpie, who attempted to murder her by drowning her in the depths of the underground waters. Just barely escaping, Moss quickly confronts Kelpie, who shows their apology by helping Moss out of the cave. A sort of... 'friendship' would blossom between the two as a result before the two met Neru and his friend, Lucias!

Earthlyng Universe

After a strange incident happened while traveling with her trio of friends, Moss finds herself (what she assumes to happen) transported into some new, strange location... right in the middle of a forest. Shocked, and frankly confused by what is happening, Moss struggles with coming to terms that she has been separated from her friend, and into an unfamiliar place in an even more unfamiliar body. Moss finds herself then met with a humi child, who after some convincing, eventually leads Moss to their home. Here, Moss is introduced to the child's family, who are oddly welcoming. Still finding this strange, Moss goes along with what is happening. It's here that Moss gains the new name 'Unagi' after finding a keen interest in a dish called 'eel kabayaki'!

Moss spends the majority of her life aiding the family out with whatever they need, while also using her new body's hands to escape into the realm of creativity. She usually writes stories or retellings of the adventures she went on with her past friends.
