Mermaid TearsMusae plutonis

Angiosperms

Mermaid tears or glassbell (Musae plutonis, "Muses of Pluto") are musebells naturalized on Tartarus by the Humi. Nearly all glassbells can be found in the Glass Forest, although some are cultivated within the domes.

Compared to their Arcadian variant, glassbells have a wider, ruffled, bell-like shape, a clear, vitric exterior, and two or more stamens that resound in the wind. They can be often seen growing in pairs of two to four, and due to their increased berth and varied number of "clappers", have a greater and much louder range of tones. In bigger groups, their music is rarely harmonious and errs into cacophony, although they can be planted and arranged for a more pleasing chorus. It has been a long time since anyone has done for the wild mermaid tears of Tartarus, however.
