New prompts: the prismatic parade, fauna field research, changing of the seasons

There's a new Pride Month-themed Festive Prompt Bonus in town, and it's ready for you to make a show of it for a x1.2 Stardust bonus on your Misc. Art and Writing Prompts throughout the month of June!

Like usual, Festive Prompts remain inactive outside of their designated months.

We have also expanded our Field Research Prompt so that Userlyngs may now contribute unique fauna to our ever-expanding Universe! Similar to the Flora Field Research Prompt,  the Fauna Field Research Prompt asks Userlyngs to depict an original or preexisting fauna, alongside a short written description of them. This specific Prompt awards 150 Stardust and 50 Sylver for your efforts, so we hope to see your Starlyngs' findings soon! The full description for this Prompt may be read in both the Field Research Prompt Gallery and the Fauna Field Research Prompt itself.

On top of these new Prompts, it is now meteorologically summer in the Northern Hemisphere, and winter in the Southern Hemisphere! As such, summer and winter-themed submissions will now be accepted for our permanent Seasonal Prompt  (Gallery link). How are your Starlyngs enjoying the changing seasons?

fashion frenzy 2024 Winners, Prize Tiers Expanded

Now that the Fashion Frenzy 2024 has come to a close, we would like to announce our winners! We had so many stylish submissions that it hard to pick which we wanted to exclusively incorporate into our official gearsets, and as such, we decided to expand our criteria for each tier! 

• TIER 2 PRIZE: Tier 2 winners will receive a Rare MYO and their choice of any one Legendary Trait. Their ideas will be used as minor inspiration for our gearsets. 
  
  
• TIER 1 PRIZE: Tier 1 winners will receive a Mythical MYO. Their ideas will be used as major inspiration for our gearsets.

We hope that with this change, our gearsets will be more inclusive of the excellent ideas our winners had, while also being able to add our own touches to each set. Without further adieu, our winners are...

Secret Starlyng Summer 2024: Partners Assigned, Dates to Remember

Secret Starlyng Summer 2024 applications have now closed. Applicants will be matched with their partners and contacted by the end of the day via Discord, so please stay alert and mind your inbox! All instructions can be found in your conversation with our shared staff account hentopan (ouroboros), as well as our #event-rules channel in the Starlyng Discord Server. To reiterate, the most important dates applicants need to remember are: 

• Soft Deadline on June 19th: Either ask for a backup artist by this date OR have a work in progress ready to show our staff account (if not already finished with your piece!)
  
  
• Hard Deadline on June 22nd, 11:59 PM PST: Have your completed piece submitted to the relevant Google Form, linked in our Discord Server and your conversation with hentopan.
  
  
• Distribution Day on June 30th, afternoon or evening: All pieces will be passed out by hentopan by the end of the day.

Two of our guides have been updated for clarity with visual guides and new text. 

• The Misc. Starlyng Art Grading Guide has been updated with a character size visual guide by lycoris.

• A list of character-based-character (CBC) guidelines has been added to the User Guide, alongside a visual guide by Macross.

LUCK OF THE DRAW: JUNE STARDUST ADOPTABLES LOTTERY

As always, we have three refreshing Stardust adoptable designs for interested Userlyngs to purchase! They cost 500 Stardust each.

These were created by Inotcreative, luri_exe, and subsequentibis, with a theme of "Along the Shoreline"! They can be purchased through their Sales page.

Continuing the trend, we're also hosting our July Stardust Adoptable lottery! Like usual, this lottery will end in one week on July 8th.

• THREE users will be chosen as winners.
  
  
• Winners will be asked to EACH create ONE "Deep Sea"-themed Starlyng. (Think deep sea life!)
  
  
• These adoptables can use any Common, Uncommon, and Rare Traits. The Bubble [L] Trait is also available for use. 
  
  
• Staff MYOs are provided to create these designs; selected artists do not need to spend their own Items.
  
  
• These adoptables will be sold for 500 Stardust each.

The deadline for these designs will be at the end of the month. Failure to complete a design will disqualify users from participating in the future.

UNIVERSE EXPANSION: Trait DESCRIPTION UPDATED

For further clarity, the descriptions of Mutated [R] and Neutron Starlyng [M] have been updated:

• Mutated [R] now clarifies that all Mutated growths, such as bones and organs, are not inherent to a Starlyng's physical form or internal anatomy.
  
  
• Similarly, Neutron Starlyng [M] clarifies that the bones in the reference are there for reference's sake; Neutron Starlyngs [M] have a ghostly vessel. Bones and other non-inherent internality to a Starlyng requires Mutated [R], and to see the Starlyng's core requires Starspots [EA].

We must sadly announce the departure of our Modlyng palm, who has been with us since launch. We will greatly miss Palm's presence, and we hope you'll wish him well in her future endeavors.

Additionally, we wanted to give an advance notice of our upcoming unthemed Summer Gacha, which will be happening in July. As always, rolls will be $40, with each design in the pool being a chibi Starlyng. Stay tuned for more details as July draws near!

Back to the harrowing struggles of logistics: Factions are being delayed again, with a more clear projected release date of August. Luckily, as it is summer, we will have a lot more free time to work on the writing and make it the best it can be. We are deeply sorry. That said: we're always open to some help!

As stated last month: we're working on the remaining Covenant Gearsets, NPC references, and updating the website to support an extension that'd allow for equipping Gear. We are direly in need of someone to help us with the writing aspect of these questlines; if you have the requisite skills, please submit a Permanent Resource Application and save us!
