Veil
Argo Navis (Portitor corporum, "ferryman of dead souls" [in reference to Vergil's description of Charon]) is a highly mysterious, yet well-known Veil better recognized by its common names, the Flying Dutchman (Vliegende Hollander) or the Ghost Ship. It is a lesser-seen version of Styx that resembles a maritime construct—in this case, a supermassive "ghost ship". Argo Navis frequents and is thought to be the source of Davy Jones's Locker, an equally enigmatic area of deep space known for its suspended, otherworldly "waters" that take on strange and variable shapes.
Argo Navis is often sighted at the graveyards of deceased Styx following their encounters with the Order or other fatalities. The only exhibited (recorded and relatively understood) abilities of Argo Navis are camouflage, phasing through matter, and highspeed teleporation. Starlyngs that have made physical contact with Argo Navis have reported an overwhelming sense of fatigue; Firstborns afterward confirmed a loss of life energy and acceleration of aging.
It is hypothesized that Argo Navis is the equivalent of a Reaper for Styx, although unlike Reapers, it seems to be one of a kind (or it is simply the "Reaper" for Styx in the Starlyng Universe). While not inherently hostile toward the Order or inhabitants of the Universe, Argo Navis will counter when provoked and appears to be extremely protective of the Styx it seeks to transport. Its actual offensive abilites are unknown. It is also evident that Argo Navis steers clear of the Order; any destruction it causes does not appear to be targeted and is simply the result of its existence as a Distortion. The Order takes a neutral, albeit wary stance toward it due to its theorized role in the Styx ecosystem and overall elusive structure; past attacks resulted in no visible damage to its hull.
